About Me

This My Shit
My name is Taylor Ryan. I’m a 34-year-old Black woman, a mother, a community organizer, and the founder of Change Today, Change Tomorrow—a nonprofit organization in Louisville, Kentucky that I built from scratch with no blueprint, just urgency and love. Since 2019, CTCT has redistributed millions of pounds of food, launched emergency response teams, and transformed the city’s conversations around public health, mutual aid, and Black liberation.

But this space—T for Talking—is mine.

This is where I say the things I don’t always get to say in a grant report or board meeting. This is where I rant, reflect, and write from the heart—whether it’s about grief, joy, politics, parenting, or the ghosts that keep me up at night.
The stories I share here may be informed by my work with CTCT, but they are told in my personal voice. This platform does not speak on behalf of Change Today, Change Tomorrow as an organization. It speaks as Taylor—woman, witness, disruptor, writer.
Why T for Talking?
-
Because I’ve always been told I talk too much.
-
Because I know words can save, cut, love, and liberate.
-
Because silence was never an option.
This is a space for what’s been unsaid and what’s always deserved to be heard.
T for Talking is not a brand. It’s a practice. A body of work. A loud archive of Black truth, Black care, and Black refusal.
“I speak my mind, cuz bitin’ my tongue hurt."
